I am aware of the web safe text thing but what about creating a jpeg out of the text you want and adding it to your site??

Aligning text

In Photoshop 7 When you make a text box, (horizontal type tool), it always seems to put the text at the very top of the box. Is there any way of getting the text to be centred vertically please ?

Photoshope Elements?

Looking to start learning Photoshop and saw a forum member post that Photoshop Elements is a much more cost effective way to go and that it would be able to do everything most people will need to do.

I am looking at getting into Screen Printing on the side and will need to have working knowledge of Photoshop. What are the forum’s opinion on choosing Photoshop Elements? Money is not neccessarily an issue but also hate to waste money. Photoshop is MUCH more expensive (Elements is $99) but cost isn’t everything. Any advice on which direction I should go? Thank you.

Package design, how to do it – tissue rolls

Hi

I’m not sure where exactly to post this as I think I know the site to be web-focused. A friend asked me to help him design packaging for tissues (See attached file)

Any advice on leasing a graphics laptop workstation?

Hi. I’m looking into options for leasing a high performance laptop for my web/graphics work. I would like to have the adobe suite pre-installed and enough processor speed for it all to run smoothly. I’ve found a few companies where this is possible. But wondering if anyone has a reputable company they can recommend to lease from.

Convertong pictures for the web

On the web it is best to have lower resolution images and of a different size e.g. a 1Mbyte jpg should be reduced to say 10Kbyte and 300px by 250px (whatever the ration is for a photo).

What is the easiest way for a novice to convert and which common program will do this on windows?

Looking for a really really simple vector program. I have tried Inkscape but didn’t have the time to get my head around it.

I just need to go some text boxes with gradients and drop shadows. That is all.

1-In the image , where there is region that is denoted by black line, lines have curvature .when you zoom on that region lines are strait.

How can I make those lines seems strait?(while low zoom)

2-Which logo do you suggest for this cover from this link:

3-What is your idea that covers where the lines start by light? ( like a moon that lights to lock)

4-About the logo in left corner,I want put this logo on spine. But he problem is that “security” will hide, Because it will become very small. What can I do for that?
